Kan's Awesome Music and Family Blog Entry (Feat. Kan's Grandmother)

  𝜗𝜚 Music and Family     Heyyyy! I was very excited about this specific blog because I love asking people questions about the most random things, so this was perfect. I went back and forth about who I wanted to choose for this assignment; I wasn't sure if I should have picked my mom or my grandmother. I was going to do my mom, but she fell asleep so I just asked my grandmother (she was tired so it was okay). I figured it would be cool to have the chance to do my grandmother, though! She is 68 years old (born in 1956) and has seen a LOT of musical developments and changes, so I was very excited to have the chance to ask these questions. Anyway, let's dive in!   ⋆˚࿔ Music and Traditions 𝜗𝜚˚⋆      HEY Y'ALLLL! HOW Y'ALL DOIN'!!! I'm gonna cut straight to the chase; I want to talk about a piece performed at the previous Lessons and Carols. This song in specific was called the 'Huron Carol'. This piece was performed by the women's chorale! listen 2 it right now  ♡ : Okay so let's talk about this piece! This is probably my most favorite choral piece that I have done EVER. Not to be #different but I actually prefer christmas songs that aren't way too jolly. I think that slower, minor key pieces are the best. The composition of this song is absolutely beautiful! It's in SSAA (which i was happy about becasue Dr. Jones was allergic to SSAA for half of fall term. No I am not being mean  ♡).   Music and Me ♡     Hello! My name is Kanaria. I major in music, with voice being my primary instrument! Music has always been something very special and important in my life. I began playing the clarinet, switching to violin, and eventually settling with singing! I've always liked to create and listen to many different genres of music and be open to the many possibilities that music can provide. :) ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ Now listen.. when I say I listen to anything, I MEAN IT!!!
